What access does Team Hub need in our Confluence?

Team Hub asks for three permissions, and Confluence shows them to you before you approve the install. It can view Confluence content and spaces, and access Atlassian user accounts for posts, reactions, and visibility. It also reads and writes its own app data. It asks for nothing beyond what that screen lists, and only a Confluence site administrator can install it.

Do we have to set up a new vendor to try this?

No. Installing starts a free 30-day trial and needs no credit card. Above the free tier, Atlassian bills the app on the Confluence invoice your site already gets, so you onboard no new supplier. Atlassian licenses apps to your whole Confluence user tier, so budget for every licensed seat, not only the staff who post.

What will Team Hub cost at our user count?

Team Hub is priced per user on Confluence Cloud, and the per-user rate falls at every tier, so a large site pays a fraction of a small site’s rate. Annual is quoted as one flat price for your user tier instead of a per-user rate. Atlassian publishes the whole ladder, so you can check the figure before you install: see the price for your user tier on the Atlassian Marketplace.

If someone posts something that should not be there, can we take it down?

Yes. Only a Confluence administrator can add or remove Team Hub moderators. Moderators can edit, delete, close, or move any post back to drafts. When a moderator edits a post, they must give a reason, and Team Hub notifies the post owner.

Will Team Hub work for people who do not read English?

Today the interface is English only. We are working on German, French, Spanish, and Polish, with more languages over time, and we have not published release dates. Team Hub reads each person's language, time zone, and date format from their Confluence profile, and falls back to English.
